Read Spear
Read has been building businesses and brands since 1997, when he founded an online dietary-supplements company that he later sold. He brings entrepreneurship, project management, regulated consumer packaged goods experience, and years spent developing spirits brands.
He has conceived and built Cuentacuentos, El Barro, Tipo Bueno, and Tso’ok, making the connected decisions from consumer and price position through product, package, compliance, importation, distribution, and market response.
His client work extends from foundational positioning through identity, websites, print and merchandise collateral, and technical implementation across regulated consumer goods and other industries.
That operator’s perspective shapes Alchemy. The work is judged by whether the product can be made, approved, delivered, supported, and sold.
Read is WSET Level 2 Spirits certified.
Mexico operations / Supply chain
Alan Lara
Alan has worked across the mezcal supply chain since 2013. His knowledge of Mexican business, bureaucracy, producers, export procedures, freight, and logistics keeps complex projects moving.
He is particularly effective at cross-border freight: coordinating carriers, documentation, brokers, border crossings, and the unexpected problems that arise between a producer’s loading dock and a US warehouse.
